APM’s terminal (Pier 400) at the Port of Los Angeles is closed today, after striking clerical workers refused a local arbitrator’s ruling to return to work this morning.

The clerical workers, who are members of the International Longshore & Warehouse Union, initiated a strike yesterday, which shut down the pier. We do not know when the pier will reopen.

Carriers serving the pier include Maersk, Horizon, Hapag Lloyd, OOCL, SAF Marine, NYK, MSC, CMA/CGM, and US Lines.

Though these carriers serve other piers in addition to pier 400, please be aware that your freight may be delayed if it is moving with one of these carriers.
