As we enter a milder weather pattern than what we’ve experienced during the last 6 weeks, we are still facing large scale transportation delays. Many parts of the nation continue to dig out equipment that was trapped by heavy snowfall or ice. In some cases containers are still frozen to the ground. Rail cars are stuck in place. There is a chassis shortage as truckers wait in line for many hours to exchange equipment at the struggling terminals. We are facing another week of clean-up, provided we do not get hit with yet another storm.
