
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released a notice detailing plans to increase Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act fees by 38.322% to reflect inflation. Importers will see an increase in their US Customs use fees – minimum and maximum Merchandise Processing Fees (MPF) – effective October 1, 2026.
Below are examples of the current fees and what the adjusted fees will be.

The Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) ad valorem rate of 0.3464% will not change.
