The BRICS Summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) will be held September 4 and 5 in Xiamen. Security measures will commence earlier than these dates and will impact air, sea, and ground transport as follows:
Air: There will be no cargo flights from August 31 through September 5 and passenger flights are to be reduced.
Ocean: Loading and unloading HAZMAT is prohibited from August 27 through September 5.
Truck: There will be no driving on roads from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM from August 30 through September 5.
If you have any cargo moving in or out of Xiamen during this period, expect possible delays. Contact your Mohawk representative with any questions you may have.
