Here’s some news that should brighten your day: A tentative agreement on health benefits has been reached between the International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU) and The Pacific Maritime Association (PMA). According to a joint press release issued by the ILWU an PMA, the agreement is contingent upon resolution of many other issues that are still being negotiated. Neither party is expected to discuss the details of the tentative agreement or any other contract issues while negotiations are ongoing.

The ILWU and PMA have been without a contract since the previous one expired on 7/1.
