A Santa hat rests on top of a caution sign with the words "China tariffs".

There is a good chance that the impending December 15 tariffs—additional 15% on Section 301 list 4B products—could be pushed out further.

As trade talks with China continue, Secretary Sonny Perdue has reasoned that “the U.S. is unlikely to impose extra tariffs on a new $160 billion swath of Chinese goods including toys and smartphones come Sunday.” This week is turning out to be a stressful one, as importers wait for a final decision.

Nothing official has been posted that declares the increase will or will not go into effect. We will keep you informed of any updates. In the meantime, if you have questions, please reach out to your Mohawk customer service representative.
