The impending Section 301 tariff increase from 25% to 30%—which was set to go into effect October 15—has now been postponed. The U.S. agreed to this postponement after the recent trade talks in Washington, DC.

President Trump stated that he may sign a deal at the United Nations summit in Chile this December. There is still a possibility for a tariff hike in December, depending on how the rest of the negotiations go.
