Have you ever seen a 1000 blue pinwheels twirling together at once? If you’ve visited our corporate headquarters in the last month, you’ve no doubt seen such a sight.
It’s Mohawk’s pinwheel garden, planted to spread awareness about child abuse. The installation is part of Syracuse’s McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center’s ‘Pinwheels for Prevention’ campaign. Each pinwheel represents a dollar donation made by the Michael J. McSherry Charitable Fund. To learn more about the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center, visit www.mcmahonryan.org.
The Michael J. McSherry Charitable Fund exists to provide funding for the charitable giving of Mohawk employees. The fund consists of employee and matching corporate contributions. Donations are made to causes sponsored by employees with a focus on directly reaching individuals who are most in need in the Upstate New York community.
