At Mohawk Global, we believe in using our hands, hearts, and resources to make a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. On August 12, 2025, we joined Troy Area United Ministries (TAUM) to celebrate the launch of a new community garden at TAUM’s location in Troy, NY.

Built by Mohawk Global employees earlier this summer, the raised-bed garden will help TAUM supplement the meals they prepare while also providing fresh, locally grown vegetables to neighbors in need. This project is part of Sowing Kindness — our ongoing initiative to fight food insecurity through sustainable, hands-on efforts.

What started in 2024 with the transformation of 500 square feet of unused parking lot at our Syracuse headquarters into lush, raised-bed gardens has grown into something much bigger. That first garden produced 1,750 pounds of fresh vegetables, all donated to support individuals and families in need. Today, we’re proud to bring that same impact to Troy.

“Their building and planting of this garden is a living symbol of care, compassion, and a shared responsibility to nourish our neighbors,” said Rev. Donna Elia, Executive Director of TAUM. “By partnering with us, Mohawk Global is removing barriers to fresh, healthy food and making a lasting impact that will be felt well beyond this harvest season.”

During the celebration, guests enjoyed a tour of the garden, light refreshments, and an inside look at what’s been planted — and how the harvest will help feed the community. The garden mirrors the successful design at our Syracuse headquarters, ensuring a strong and sustainable yield for seasons to come.

“This garden is far more than soil and seeds — it’s a living promise to care for our neighbors, strengthen community connections, and provide support that helps people thrive,” said Gar Grannell, CEO & Chairman of Mohawk Global.

We’re proud to stand alongside TAUM and look forward to continuing to grow partnerships, build gardens, and expand access to fresh, nutritious food in the regions where our employees and clients call home.

Together, we’re sowing kindness — one garden, one community, one act at a time.
