On June 19, nearly 8,000 people from Central New York companies (Mohawk included) participated in the 30th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge, held annually at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY.
This year’s race was a little different. With the temperature at Onondaga Lake Park reaching upwards of 90 degrees, for the first time in the race’s 30-year history, officials made the smart move to shorten the race to a 2-mile untimed run.
Sponsored by JPMorgan Chase, the Corporate Challenge is a worldwide series of running events open to company teams. In each host city, a charitable donation is made to a local not-for-profit. For the Syracuse race, this year’s donation went to the American Red Cross of Central New York.
