On Saturday, June 19, 750 of Canadian National Railway Co. (CN)’s signals and communications workers—International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)—went on strike after negotiations failed. However, CN states that they have implemented an operational contingency plan and that rail operations will not be impacted.

On the other hand, further strike actions could impact rail operations if no agreement is reached before the July 22 contract expiration with Teamsters Canadian Rail Conference (TCRC).

We will continue to monitor both situations and provide updates as they occur. In the meantime, please reach out to your Mohawk Global representative with any questions.
