The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has announced an extension of the deadline for the 10 percent tariff to increase to 25 percent, the new deadline is June 15. This means that “products exported from China to the United States prior to May 10, 2019 will remain subject to an additional 10 percent tariff, if they enter into the U.S. before June 15, 2019.” Originally, the deadline was June 1, 2019.
Shipments that exported on or after May 10 are subject to the 25% additional duty.
