The requirements for the FDA’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program go into effect May 30. Under this program, U.S. importers of certain food products are required to verify that the food they import complies with the FDA’s new rules on produce safety and hazard analysis and risk based prevention controls. The FDA has issued guidance as to who this effects and how to comply here.
