Children’s products are required to meet special safety standards before they can be imported or sold in the U.S. Importers and manufacturers of these products must also comply with additional labeling requirements.

For example, children’s products with small parts, small balls, marbles, or latex balloons must be labeled as a choking hazard.

Tracking labels are required for all products intended for use by children 12 and under and must include information to help consumers easily identify whether a product is subject to a safety recall.

To help our import clients better understand these requirements, we’ve put together a children’s product labeling kit that clearly outlines when and how to apply choking hazard warnings and tracking labels.
