Office moves can be quite stressful. So many details to manage, not to mention all those change of address notifications.
For importers, it’s crucial to have up-to-date address information on file with U.S. Customs. Beginning next month, importers will have additional incentive to promptly notify Customs of updates to their address. Customs recently announced that starting April 8, it will render an importer’s continuous bond insufficient if it receives returned mail from the address on file.
Mohawk reminds importers who have moved or are planning on moving to update their address information with their broker/surety as soon as possible, to avoid the possibility of having their continuous bond rendered insufficient.
