Transpacific ocean carriers are rallying for increased rates this year through two recent announcements.
Peak Season Surcharge
- Applies to container moves from the Transpacific to U.S. and Canadian Ports
- Effective July 1, 2014

Although many increases announced in the last few months were subsequently mitigated, postponed, or cancelled, carriers seem to have new resolve to push through the increases mentioned above.
