The Mohawk Global Giveback Charitable Committee
Since 2007, the Mohawk Global Giveback (MGG) Charitable Committee has been the driving force behind our philanthropic efforts, fueled by the generosity of our employees and matched contributions from Mohawk Global. This employee-led committee reviews monthly requests for charitable support, submitted by team members across the company, ensuring our contributions reflect the causes that matter most to our people.
Each December, we invite new volunteers to join the committee, bringing fresh ideas and continued passion to our mission of strengthening communities.
Sustainability in Action: Sowing Kindness
Caring for the planet and our communities goes hand in hand. Through our Sustainability initiatives, we champion environmental stewardship and social responsibility with hands-on action.
In 2024, we expanded our efforts to fight food insecurity and promote access to healthy, fresh food. One standout project—Sowing Kindness—transformed 500 square feet of unused space at our Syracuse headquarters into vibrant raised-bed gardens. Volunteers planted, nurtured, and harvested 1,750 pounds of fresh produce, including tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans, all donated to The Samaritan Center in Syracuse.
To make the impact even more meaningful, we created simple recipe cards, giving guests practical, nutritious ways to prepare their meals with dignity and creativity.
Community Giving: Making a Difference Together
Empowering employees to give back is at the heart of our Community Giving program. Every Mohawk Global team member receives eight hours of paid volunteer time annually to support a charitable organization of their choice.
We also encourage team-based volunteer initiatives, which not only amplify our collective impact but foster stronger bonds across departments. While individual hours are tracked, there’s no cap on team-organized giveback activities—just a commitment to proper planning and ensuring business continuity. The result: meaningful impact, shared experiences, and thriving communities.
