Sowing Kindness
In an effort to combat food insecurity and promote access to fresh, locally grown produce, we launched the Sowing Kindness initiative. In 2024, we transformed 500 square feet of parking lot space at our Syracuse, NY headquarters into vibrant raised-bed gardens. This effort yielded 1,750 pounds of fresh produce, which was donated to a local organization dedicated to supporting those in need. Our long-term vision is to establish community gardens in each of the regions we serve, creating sustainable sources of nutritious food and fostering stronger, healthier communities.
Organization
As a paperless organization, we are committed to reducing waste through the implementation of efficient digital processes. Our headquarters is equipped with energy-saving systems, including advanced climate control and motion-sensor lighting, to minimize energy consumption. To further support sustainability, we’ve installed water bottle filling stations that encourage the use of reusable containers. Additionally, our company-wide hybrid work model helps reduce commuting-related emissions, significantly lowering our overall carbon footprint.

Tree Planting
As part of our long-term commitment to environmental stewardship, we plant 1,000 trees annually to contribute to reforestation, improve air quality, and promote biodiversity. In 2025, we’re taking this initiative a step further by introducing the planting of fruit trees in under-resourced neighborhoods. This expansion not only supports environmental sustainability but also addresses community health and food equity.
By planting fruit-bearing trees, we aim to create lasting sources of fresh, nutritious food for families—particularly children—who may face food insecurity during the summer months, when access to school-based meal programs is limited. These trees will be planted in accessible public spaces, such as parks and community centers, with the goal of fostering long-term community engagement, education, and nourishment. Through this initiative, we’re cultivating more than just trees—we’re growing opportunities for a healthier, more resilient future.
