The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) added 43 entities to the Entity List for either supporting China’s military, supporting the government’s human rights abuses, or supporting Pakistan’s weapons capabilities. The agency also removed one entity from the list. These additions, outlined in a final rule, impose license requirements for all items subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) effective June 12.
The license review policy for each listed entity is identified in the “License Review Policy” column on the Entity List, and the impact on the availability of license exceptions is described in the relevant Federal Register document that added the entity to the Entity List.
There are many changes happening with the restricted parties, and companies should make sure they are verifying that their customers have not been placed on any of these lists. We suggest screening before you ship.
