Mohawk Global was honored to partner with River Rock Community Coalition (RRCC) this summer for a clean-up in the Riverside neighborhood of the City. This opportunity was in preparation for an invitation to the community to stop at the Hearts for the Homeless Thrift Store—to support the public unveiling of the newest mural additions to Buffalo’s public art movement.

RRCC is a nonprofit community organization that is 100% volunteer based. Their focus is on enhancing the quality of life in the underserved areas of Riverside and Black Rock in the city of Buffalo, NY. Rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community, RRCC has a variety of active projects and a dedicated volunteer staff to successfully achieve their goals. The RRCC makes an impact through various community improvement projects, such as neighborhood clean-up activities, plans for a community garden, and the commissioning of multiple community murals resonating positivity.

“I’m grateful to use Mohawk Global’s volunteer hours for this experience to bond with colleagues and the RRCC for the Hearts for the Homeless. I look forward to doing it again because every opportunity creates a lasting impact on the neighborhood,” Jim Trubits, VP Business Development.

Mohawk Global continues to pursue opportunities to advance our key initiative in sustainability by participating with organizations like RRCC to promote community awareness and engagement, one block at a time.
