FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK, 6 JANUARY 2011—Mohawk Global Logistics has signed a lease to own agreement with the City of Syracuse for the former US Airways Reservation Center at Hancock International Airport. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company, which is currently headquartered in the airport’s air cargo building, plans on moving to 123 Air Cargo Road this summer.

President & CEO Gar Grannell cites the company’s tremendous growth over the last five years as the catalyst for the move. “Over the past five years our revenue has doubled,” says Grannell. “We’ve launched our domestic transportation division and our consulting group, Mohawk Global Trade Advisors. Just this past year we’ve added eleven new employees to our Syracuse branch. We needed the space.”

Mohawk will be the first occupant of the former US Airways Reservation Center since it closed in 2001. “I give the city and the airport credit for having the vision to bring life to a long vacant building here at the airport,” says Grannell.

Founded in 1970, Mohawk Global Logistics is made up of a team of international transportation and trade compliance specialists who work out of offices in Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, and Buffalo, New York. Most recently, the company entered into the Cleveland, OH and Boston, MA markets. The company has won numerous awards over the years, including being named one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Central New York, Global Service Provider of the Year, and Export Service Provider of the Year.
