The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has announced a seventh set of exclusions from the fourth list (List 4A) of Section 301 tariffs. The exclusions will apply retroactively to September 1, 2019 until September 1, 2020.
These new exclusions include 11 existing ten-digit HTSUS subheadings and 53 specially prepared product descriptions, which together respond to 242 separate exclusion requests.
In addition, the USTR has announced, in two separate notices, amendments to certain product exclusions. In the first notice, an exclusion is being removed under U.S. Note 20(x)(97) on multiphase motors (8501.52.4000). In the second notice, the USTR modifies exclusions from the third list of Section 301 tariffs.
