Great news for the holidays. The impending December 15 tariffs—additional 15% on Section 301 list 4B products—have been put aside, indefinitely. This is due to the recent strides made in the first phase of the trade deal between the U.S. and China.
Additionally, the 15% tariffs that were implemented on September 1, 2019—Section 301 list 4A—will be reduced to 7.5%. Although we are not clear on when the reduction for list 4A will be effective, this is good news for importers.
