The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has announced it will extend Section 301 tariff exclusions on certain imports from China, which include personal protection equipment (PPE) needed to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, through September 30, 2021.

USTR has said that the latest tariff exclusion extension covers these goods when entered for consumption, or withdrawn from a warehouse for consumption, at 12:01 a.m. EST on April 1 and ending at midnight EST on September 30, 2021.

Each of the article descriptions for HTS headings 9903.88.62, 9903.88.63, 9003.88.64 and 9903.88.65 are modified by deleting “March 31, 2021,” and inserting “September 30, 2021” in its place.
