Typhoon AMPIL hit China over the weekend causing disruption in Shanghai, Ningbo, and Qingdao. Shanghai terminals had to shut down operations due to the storm impacting truckers, as they could not pick up or return containers Friday evening until Saturday afternoon. Delays are expected.
Though the port of Ningbo was not directly impacted by the typhoon, delays are still expected as most vessels that dock in Ningbo also dock in Shanghai.
The storm has moved North today and is delaying operations in Qingdao, where they have since stopped all operations. There has been no announcement as to when activity will resume.
