BENSENVILLE, ILLINOIS, 16 APRIL 2013—Mohawk Global Logistics announces the acquisition of a Chicago competitor, OEC Freight Chicago Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition yields OEC’s additional freight volume, which Mohawk will use to enhance its Midwest network.
“This acquisition is part of broader plan to expand into the Midwest,” says Gar Grannell, Mohawk’s President and CEO.
Mohawk Global Logistics is a third party freight forwarder offering international and domestic transportation, Customs brokerage, and international trade consulting. The company’s headquarters is located in Syracuse, New York.
