A preliminary list of products, imported from the EU, that may be subject to future Section 301 duties has been announced by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). This list acts as a countermeasure, worth $11.2 billion per year, to the EU’s aircraft subsidies.
The list contains several products in the civil aviation sector, as well as a wide range of consumer goods including food and beverages, handbags, textiles and apparel, and more. We advise companies to take a look at these Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and see if any of their products may be subject, in case this list becomes official.
In the meantime, we will keep you informed of any new updates as they become available.
