The U.S. Census Bureau has published a two-part blog post as guidance for Automated Export System (AES) users trying to determine how to report the Ultimate Consignee (UC) in their Electronic Export Information (EEI).
Part I, answers frequently asked questions on the UC and the end user based on the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR). Part II, provides several complicated filing examples, for instance, when the known end user and the UC are two different entities residing in alternate countries.
